Quarterback Chase Wasson engineered one of the most prolific offenses in state history in 2002 as the Dragons went 16-0 and won the 5A state title. Wasson rewrote the state’s passing records at the time throwing for 4,822 yards and 54 touchdowns and also rushed for more than 1,000 yards and 16TDs. In 2002, his amazing season was capped with a Class 5A Offensive Player of the Year award and threw for 490 yards in the state title game.
