Lady Dragon basketball tradition started with Durham. He built the Lady Dragon program into a powerhouse and won the Class A state championship in 1975 and had a state semifinal finish in 1972. Durham impacted students and athletes as he also served as a teacher and Carroll Elementary and High School principal. He earned more than 500 career wins and worked in Carroll ISD from 1964-1979 and also coached girls’ track.
