Chance Caple

Chance was a two-sport athlete for the Dragons, playing Football and Baseball, where he earned the District’s MVP honors in both sports.  Over his Hall of Honor career in Baseball, Chance was a four-year letterman and two time All State RHP, winning 224 games as a Dragon and lead the 1996 team to the State tournament his senior season.  Chance was drafted in the 8th Round as a Dragon, by the San Diego Padres in 1996 but decided instead, to be a member of the #1 recruiting class in the country, and play baseball at Texas A&M for the next three years.  There he earned All-Conference Honors, 2 Big XII Conference Championships and a trip to the College World Series before becoming the very first Dragon in Carroll school history to be drafted in the first Round of the 1999 MLB Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals.
