Football- 4-year starter at wide receiver, running back, and defensive back

                Captain of the first Carroll Dragon Football team to win district and bi-district in 1965- First Dragon player to    

                score 5 touchdowns in a game against Collinsville in the season opener               

                Named all-district receiver and running back all 4 years

Basketball- 4-year starter at guard

                    Named all-district all 4 years                                        

                    High scorer in Sophomore, Junior, and Senior seasons averaging over 20 points a game

                    First player in Carroll history to earn a basketball scholarship, playing at Weatherford College and Dallas                

                    Baptist University, where he started as a guard averaging 17 points and 8 rebounds 

Track & Field- Ran 200 meter, 400 meter, 4×100 relay, 4×400 relay, and long jump

                       Won 200 meter, 400 meters, and long jump at the district meet Junior and Senior year 

                       Held school records in the 200-meter, 400 meters, and long jump
